Once upon a time, there was a Mermaid
Once upon a time, there was a mermaid...
The Mermaid swam faster as the current carried her along, closer to the place she sought. As she neared she could tell that the colors here were different. Each creature she passed was a different shifting shade from the rest.

There were mermaids and mermen with green tails, blue, pink, and golden too. But this mermaid wasn't like the others. Her colors shimmered and shifted, ever-changing with the waves.

The Mermaid wandered far across the ocean until one day a glimmer caught her eye on the horizon.

Here the waters were filled with mermaids of all kinds, sea creatures too, and in every shade imaginable. Her shifting colors no longer felt strange or different among the rainbow of color all around. At long last she had found a place she belonged.
